Introduction

Information and resources for children with special needs is scanty and very much limited in Sarawak . Awareness for the need of the services and provision of the services are still far beyond the standard or basic requirement. With the constraints in all aspects concerning the optimum care for them, the development has not gone far since the beginning of their needs was being emphasized in year 1996. The development has been progressing faster and escalating only since year 2005 when more support from varies parties were taking place.

This website acts as the bridge for the services provider and the family with special healthcare or education needs. Another objective is to improve public perception and acceptance for this group of people, so that they can be included into this society and community more naturally.

I would like to thank all the parties providing the information and allow me to share with public. I hope that this information is useful especially for the needy families.

The cares or services provider for the children with special needs include Health Department , Social Welfare Department, Education Department, NGOs and Support Groups, as well as volunteers.
